WellBridge Greater Dallas operates an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in addition to its inpatient hospital services. Whether you're transitioning from inpatient hospitalization, or just starting treatment for the first time, the WellBridge team will work with you to develop a plan of care customized to your individual needs.
In the WellBridge Greater Dallas Intensive Outpatient Program, clients in need of mental healthcare receive a full complement of resources. Some clients, especially those who may be experiencing a heightened period of mental health distress, may come to the IOP for half a day, two to three times a week. This period of intensive treatment helps to rapidly reduce the severity, frequency and impact on functioning of symptoms and help patients regain peace of mind. The WellBridge IOP provides group therapy sessions, medication management and other mental health services patients may need.
Inpatient hospitalization is a short-term (10 to 14 days on average), 24-hour-a-day acute treatment service, provided in a safe and secure hospital setting. It includes 24-hour nursing care and daily provider visits that are not available on an outpatient basis.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is a therapeutic, recovery-focused, group therapy program held in a safe, supportive environment, providing ongoing symptom management interventions, aimed at enhancing one’s capacity to effectively manage symptoms. Outpatient is typically held for a few hours a day, three days per week.
